Meet James Hunn
I’m James Hunn Jr., a lifelong Mobile, Alabama native, REALTOR®, Broker, and the owner and operator of YourNestAway.
I began my real estate career in 2016 and expanded into property management in 2021, earning my broker’s license in 2024. Along the way, I discovered that the part of the business I enjoy most isn’t simply buying, selling, or managing property—it’s helping people.
For me, real estate and property management are about building relationships, solving problems, and providing the kind of honest, dependable, personal service that people can count on.
That same philosophy is at the heart of YourNestAway. Since 2015, we’ve had the privilege of welcoming guests to Mobile and helping them feel at home while they experience everything our community and the Gulf Coast have to offer.
Meet James Buford
James Buford is a proud native of Mobile, Alabama, and an important part of the YourNestAway team. With a strong technical background, James has played a key role in helping us build and organize the systems that keep our back office running smoothly.
While you may not see James out front very often, his work is felt throughout the company. From technology and systems to behind-the-scenes problem-solving, he has been a tremendous help in creating the foundation that allows our team to better serve our guests and property owners.
Every successful operation has people working behind the scenes to make it all come together—and James is one of those people. We’re grateful for his expertise, dedication, and the many ways he helps keep YourNestAway moving forward.
Our story
We’re YourNestAway, and I’m James Hunn, your Super-host.
Since 2015, we’ve had the privilege of welcoming guests to Mobile and helping them experience the city like a local—not just a visitor.
It all started with one home we loved so much that we couldn’t keep it to ourselves. Friends came to stay, they told their friends, and before long, hosting grew from a side project into what we truly love to do. What started with one home has grown into a passion for creating comfortable, memorable stays for guests from near and far.
Even as we’ve grown, one thing hasn’t changed: we still believe in personal hospitality. We remain hands-on with every booking because we want our guests to know there’s a real person behind their stay—someone who cares about their experience and is here when they need us. And honestly, we still get a quiet thrill when a guest messages us to say they didn’t want to leave.
Today, we proudly look after 28 homes across Mobile, but our philosophy remains simple: provide a place that feels like home, even if it’s only yours for a few days. We want our guests to feel comfortable, welcomed, and confident from the moment they arrive.
And because we live here and love this community, we’re always happy to share the local recommendations, hidden gems, favorite restaurants, and insider tips that can turn a good trip into a great one.

At YourNestAway LLC, we look after a handful of homes in Mobile, and we look after the people who stay in them. We're big on the small things: a spotless place when you walk in, someone local who answers when you message, and recommendations that take you past the tourist trail.
